Teepees

The highlight of this tour are the two magnificent rock formations known as the Teepees. Divided into North and South Teepees, these multicolored, conical sandstone spires stand tall in an otherwise flat landscape, towering high above the surrounding wilderness. The geology of the Teepees is extremely similar to The Wave, an iconic rock formation nearby. However, to see the Teepees, no permit is required, so the destination is much more accessible. Orange and red sandstone make up the scenic beauty of this area and the photography potential is unparalleled.

 

The Teepees Tour departs from Kanab, UT or Page, AZ at approximately 8:00am and returns at approximately 3:00pm.
